The Légaré brothers

Philippe Légaré (right side of the photo) was born on September 2, 1908. He was the son of Virginie Villiotte and the miller Magloire Légaré, who purchased the mill that still bears his name, in 1907. When Magloire died in 1924, Philippe became assistant to his brother Donat (left side of the photo) who took over from his father as miller. After the mill was sold to the City of Saint-Eustache in 1978, and when Donat Légaré died in 1980, Philippe helped train the millers of the Corporation du Moulin Légaré until his death on July 9, 1996.
