Sylvain: The association has been involved for more than twenty-five years.
Alain: That’s right!
Sylvain: It’s easily twenty-five years.
Alain: Yeah, and I even remember, before we did the roadblocks or collected in front of businesses in Saint-Eustache, we did… we put on spaghetti dinners. You weren’t with us back then.
Sylvain: No.
Alain: But we had spaghetti dinners. We held them at the old pool, the community centre that was there.
Sylvain: The Civic Centre.
Alain: The Civic Centre, sorry, thanks buddy. That’s right, where the gym was.
Sylvain: Yeah.
Alain: And… we collected money. We put on the spaghetti dinner. We made our own sauce, the pasta. A lot. The firefighters were really involved, along with the Knights of Columbus, and we passed on all the money to the Knights of Columbus specifically for the food drive.
Sylvain: That was before we raised funds the way we do now.
Alain: Exactly, that’s right, that’s right.
