Well, once again I’d like to say thank you to those who were there at the beginning, with less equipment, so much effort, so much courage… Those people left a legacy of teamwork that’s essential for a fire department to be successful. To those who are there today, well… they’re people who have more equipment, more training, more technical resources, but they also face new challenges, new responsibilities. Because in a city like ours, which is growing… quickly in terms of industry… there are things today that require them to work in a certain way, to respond in different ways. I say to them, “Bravo!” They should be proud of… the great work they do. Because what makes them stand out from other fire departments, I’d say, first of all: the involvement of management. The teamwork of those firefighters… who are worthy successors of those who went before and established something great in the City of Saint-Eustache. The new fire hall that’s coming. We’re happy to provide them with this excellent facility. And you can feel it with the firefighters. They’re looking forward to getting into their new building. And we want it to be really safe for our citizens. So, I say to them, great job. I thank them for taking up the challenge as they do. It’s teamwork that is truly appreciated. And as mayor, well… on behalf of the citizens, I feel very safe. I feel at ease with such a dedicated, skilled fire department.
