It’s going to be the biggest fire hall in the Regional County Municipality. Uh… The aim of the project was to bring all the fire trucks and the administrative offices into the same location. Uh… There are also the things we added because we had to look after the environment. We built a practice pool at the back, with the water recovered from the roofs … to let our firefighters exercise and avoid wasting water. There are also all the ventilation systems, which are the latest technology. Energy recovery for hot water and ventilation. The entirebuilding has natural gas heating. Uh… There are also stormwater management ponds to prevent the storm sewer pipes from overflowing. We built… we took a close look at what it would be like for… We put the administrative offices on the ground floor. And everything for the firefighters we put on the upper floors. Paying careful attention to the very, very special needs of a fire hall. The building is fully equipped with a sprinkler system. Cutting-edge garage doors. There’s even an exhaust collection system to prevent contaminations in the garage. So, it’s a new page in our history, because the new… the old fire hall is a thing of the past.
