Claude Jean: Becoming a Firefighter

I started my training in the sixth class at Saint-Maxime School, which is called IPIQ today. Back then, it wasn’t a recognized organization, when I was in my first year. It became IPIQ in 1982. Then it developed to become what it is today. In other words, now, every firefighter has to get academic training at the Institut de protection incendie,the Fire Protection Institute – IPIQ.
