We think we were chosen because we had adopted nine children. One after the other. And… because two of them are deaf. There’s one who we were told would never be able to walk, but she walks. There’s one that we fostered here in Québec. He has a developmental disability. And the last adoption was five children we went to get… at the end of 2017, in Ukraine. So, it’s like… people are impressed. So, I think that’s why the people… And they also wanted to help us. Because the house wasn’t very big. And even though we’d invested a lot, you know, we’d done renovations… Well, we’d insulated the basement with urethane. We’d replaced the French drain. We’d replaced the windows. We’d insulated the roof. But those are all things you don’t see in the house; you don’t see them, but they take time and energy. So, our priority was to finish the basement so that the six girls who had rooms down there would have a nicer space. So, the main floor was still drywall. And the bathroom, and the kitchen… it’s like… later. We’ll do it later. And it takes… time, so… And the kids take time, too. We have ten in the house, and we have to tuck them all in at night. They need that. So, you know, it’s like, our evening starts with us putting them all to bed one after the other. And after that, it’s our turn to go to bed! So, you know, it’s the time to put into renovating the house, it was really just during the summer holidays because the weekend… it’s not long enough… to get anything done. So… we think that’s why we were chosen. Because we’d adopted a number of children, and people… really wanted to help us.
