Interview with Theresa Larouche, Aurora Public Library, August 11, 2016

A splash pad was installed in Town park  in 2001. Updated playground equipment was also installed as part of the Town Park Master Plan designed in 1999.

In this audio clip Theresa Larouche reminisces about her family’s use of the splash pad area for birthday parties.

Theresa: Well, for me oh my gosh I have lots of memories! I have memories of Christopher’s birthdays being there because the water park is there, right?

Interviewer: Oh, right!

Theresa: So we would just get all the kids to come, and they would go and they would run and play and go in the water parks and play in the water and then play on the swings and stuff and then I would bring like a cooler full of drinks and I would go get a bunch of pizza’s and the kids would eat and drink and there would be my birthday party! Saved me lots of money, ha.
