The Ball Diamond

Town of Aurora

By the 1870s baseball was in full swing in Aurora and a diamond was quickly established in Town Park. During the early years ball games would often happen as a part of a larger event such as the Queen’s Birthday (Victoria Day) or Dominion Day (Canada Day).

The ball diamond has featured prominently in the history of Town Park and continues to be a go to destination for those looking to watch some good old fashioned softball.
