As part of the 125th Canada Day celebrations in 1992, students from Wells Street School formed a Canada Flag in Town Park. The event was organized by the Parents Council led by Kim McRoberts.

Adult Organizer #2: We have about 440 children involved there’s 221 red and 219 white. Um, we hope to ah have a memory for the kids I guess for Canada’s 125th birthday. I was in grade six when it was Canada’s 100th birthday and I remember all the fun things that we did and I would just like the children to carry a memory for their children.
Man on Megaphone: … (illegible) … should be at the front. Move this way a few more steps.
Child #1: It’s a great idea for celebrating Canada’s 125th birthday.
Child #2: I think it’s good because we are celebrating Canada’s birthday.
Child #3: It means a lot to us, it’s like, happy birthday to like all of Canada.
Child #4: It means a lot to our school and our principal and everyone here.
