Town Park gets a Proper Playground

In 1948, the playground in Town Park consisted of three sandboxes however with the formation of the Aurora Recreation Commission, and the Summer Playground Program, additional equipment was needed.

In July of the following year swings and slides were added to Town Park and Bobby Atcheson was named playground captain.
