During the late 1880s local Aurora businesses formed company baseball teams who would compete against one another regularly in Town Park.
Shortly after moving to Aurora in 1901, the T. Sisman Shoe Company fielded a team and continued to be involved as sponsors of baseball right into the 1980s.
