Lord Aberdeen Inspecting Guisachan Farm, c.1895

Lord Aberdeen, followed by an Okanagan Mission Priest and John Morrison, are inspecting the animal barn.
“We are glad we came down here as we have found there is a good deal to arrange and re-organize. Morrison, the new overseer and his wife…are doing very well – steady, hard-working conscientious people, very anxious to cut down all expenses…Most of the fruit trees having done badly here because of the alkali in the soil, some new efforts must be made in other directions to make the place pay which it has been very far from doing so far.”
