The S.S. Parisian Carried the Aberdeen Family Across the Atlantic Ocean in 1891

“On a fine evening in August we found ourselves dropping down the Mersey on board the s.s. “Parisian” of the Allan Line, one of the largest ships plying between this country and Canadian ports.”
Lady Aberdeen described how “delightful” everything looked on the large Atlantic liner until “you find yourself tossing about in the Irish Channel in a gale a few hours later...”
