Lord Aberdeen planting the Scottish fir trees, with Marjorie, Coutts, and Frank Conkling (Guisachan foreman) watching. Unfortunately, the Scotch firs did not survive in the Okanagan climate and were replaced with native western red cedars during their 1894 visit.
