Anne Langton c. 1838 Titled “Log House.”

The sketch is black and white. The view is from in the woods looking out to a clearing with farm buildings in the background. There is a rough path that has fence boards on either side. The sketch shows lots of stumps suggesting that trees have been cleared to make the farm fields. The view from the woods immediately at opening to the path is bordered by trees.  It is thought that the sketch is of a neighbour’s farm along Sturgeon Lake.
