Approach and Landing at Harbour Grace Airstrip
Source: COPA 97
A current day video taken from a small engine aircraft as it approaches and lands at our airstrip.
Transcription below:
Plane approaches from the east. Video is taken from inside a smaller aircraft, as it approaches Harbour Grace airstrip. From a distance, the video captures landscapes, roads and bodies of water (sounds of aircraft engine and propeller).
The airstrip can be seen in the distance as the pilot continues his approach. Propeller slows as pilot gets closer to airstrip. The top of Crow Hill can be seen, along with some buildings to the right of airstrip.
The length of the grassy airstrip lies ahead of plane. As the plane flies over Crow Hill, we can see a white plane parked on the airstrip at the bottom of Crow Hill.
Pilot brings aircraft lower and lower until touch down on the airstrip. Plane reduces speed then turns around and drives back towards buildings and Crow Hill.
