Austin Thorne: I have only been in there [airstrip] once.
Interviewer: ok what was going on that day did you just go?
AT: Yeah it was the Amelia Earhart 90th Anniversary event and, like all the small air general aviation planes came in [cool] and, the pilots were impressed with my knowledge, so at the end of the event they flew me home to St. John’s in one of the planes.
Interviewer: Wow, what was that like?
AT: It was really cool, it was, it was a Piper Cherokee 140 that I flew in. [Ok] It was really cool because it was my first time flying in a smaller plane like that.
Interviewer: That’s really cool, so you certainly saw landscape here and in a different way from up there hey?
AT: Yes, [wow], it was really cool seeing like all the people, all the trees from like up there.
Interviewer: Yeah, so how long was the flight from here to St. John’s in that plane?
AT: Well we didn’t fly directly there we did a few loops around. [Oh ok], we did like a touch and go on one of the runways and then we just came back in and landed so it was about maybe half hour to forty five minutes.
