The option agreement and contract extension are documents that both Cyrus Caldwell Poyntz and representatives of North American Cyanamid signed. The option agreement outlines that if the quarry decided to buy the farmer’s (Pontz’s) land, he and his heirs would have the right to lease the land for an additional 25 years for the “purpose of carrying on ordinary farming operations and residence.”
