The Euclid Rock Hauler
1990

This Euclid rock hauler was used between 1950 and 1972 for active quarrying and stripping at Chemical Lime Limited. It featured a 165 horsepower Cummins, 6-cylinder diesel engine and weighed 32,700 pounds when empty. It is estimated that this truck moved about 5.1 million tons of soil and stone from the quarries in Beachville. Stelco Steel restored and donated it to “Ye Olde Museum” (now Beachville District Museum) in the 1990s. In front of the truck is a group of former Stelco employees, the reunion when the restoration was unveiled.
