Iron Lung Anecdote

Audio recording of Laura Hibbs, daughter of Bingo Hauser. Conducted by North American Carnival Museum & Archives, June 2017.
“One of the attractions dad had was the iron lung, he had some fun stories to share about that. He had two different girls that would be the patient in the iron lung. They had strict instructions to do not dare be seen if they were in a town or that. They couldn’t be seen because the only way they could live was to be inside that iron lung.”
