We’re Still Just not There Yet

Nanny always told us to not care what people say about you. Be proud, be individualistic, and be happy with yourself, and that really what my generation, what my cousins took from that. We were happy! Proud to be Black! And to us, colour didn’t really matter. That’s just who we were!
