Off-camera voice: Could you share one of your most memorable moments as a volunteer?
Julie Rousseau: Of course! [She laughs.] It was during a carrefour… sorry, during an international concert. There was an artist, a musician—an accordionist, I think. He was about to perform when a little… maybe 30 minutes before the show, he came out of the dressing room. So he looked at me, and then looked down at his clothes. That’s when he made a gesture—he was an Anglophone from western Canada—he looked at me and he did this. [She shakes her head.] I really didn’t understand. Then he asked in English, “Could I… could you find me an iron?” [She laughs.] He just wanted to iron his shirt before his performance. So I had to quickly locate an iron to make sure he could look good on stage.
