In this scene, a young Sabin Jacques sits while he plays accordion. Meanwhile, Benoît Bourque, wearing a barber’s apron, dances around his fellow performer while preparing to give him a shave. Both performers continue playing accordion and dancing throughout this hilarious number. Benoît Bourque puts a barber’s cape on Sabin Jacques, places a towel on his shoulders and covers his face with a washcloth while pinching his chin and his nose. He places a jar of shaving cream on the table, almost spilling it on the floor. He shares a knowing smile with the laughing audience, before taking a brush and spreading the shaving cream all over Sabin Jacques’s face—including his forehead and glasses! Sabin Jacques continues to play as the audience laughs.
