Jacques Dumont performing in front of the current Musée de l’accordéon (Manoir Couillard-Dupuis) during the inaugural Carrefour mondial de l’accordéon. Jacques Dumont is originally from Rouen, France. At the time, he was enjoying a lot of success. He was a student of Maurice l’Enfant, the world-renowned carillon player and organist. Jacques Dumont would go on to study at the École Charles-Gounod in France.
