In the foreground we see the bottom of a loom with its system of pedals. Johanne Désormeaux is seated in the background. We can only see her legs and her feet working the loom.
Johanne Désormeaux places several spools of white thread on a frame.
She takes the thread from one of her spools, inserts it into the loom, and ties it to threads that are already in place.
She winds a set of white threads onto the loom. We can only see part of the loom turning, and her hands.
She makes sure all the sets of white threads are securely tied to the loom. There is a close-up of the knots.
Johanne Désormeaux begins to weave. She has a shuttle with green thread wound onto it. She moves the shuttle between the levels of threads on the loom and works the loom to tighten the threads.
She is weaving a colourful tea towel on another loom.
Various handwoven items are exhibited on a white table. From left to right, we see a very colourful chequered tea towel, a white and yellow table runner, and a blue and red woollen blanket. We see a close-up of each item, one after the other.
