At the 2015 Regional Conference, Fédération 16 wanted to highlight the importance of the Fermières’ social engagement, so the women displayed placards showing various demands made and positions held by the Fermières over the years. It can be seen that the Fermières kept pace with their times, with demands such as family planning (1976), banning the use of cell phones while driving (1998) and banning smoking in public places (2005).
