Over the course of their history, the Cercles de Fermières have had a number of different magazines. La Bonne Fermière (1920 to 1930) became La Revue des Fermières (1940 to 1944), then Terre et Foyer (1945 to 1970). In 1974, it reverted to La Revue des Fermières. This edition offers articles on a range of topics such as the husband’s place in the family home, good back posture, plastic surgery, and trendy outfits for women, as well as a crochet pattern for a hooded romper, a fléché (finger weaving) sash design, and steak recipes. Since 1990, the magazine L’Actuelle (first introduced as L’Actuel) has been published by the Cercles de Fermières. It contains interviews, news items, columns, recipes, patterns of all kinds, and information about the Cercles throughout the province.
