A number of Fermières are gathered to attend a course with Miss Thérèse Bourgeois, technician. Hired by the government, technicians would travel from Cercle to Cercle teaching a variety of principles and techniques relating to sewing, weaving, food and hygiene. They demonstrated what were considered to be modern as well as traditional techniques.
