Interview with the Fermière Jennifer Thomas

For me, it started when… I was off work, when I was expecting my son last October. And my… boyfriend did a Google search. And he found some knitters. So, he said, “Hey, you should go!” So, one Monday evening at 7:15pm I plucked up my courage and went. And the first thing I was asked – because I was around five-and-a-half months – was if I was pregnant. Because, well at that point, it was getting pretty obvious [laughter]! And there were a lot of people in the hall. They were so welcoming, so warm… There were people laughing like crazy… And every one of them had their work in their hands, they were all working on their little projects, but they were having so much fun. And after that, well, I started going to the activities two or three times a week, and here we are a year later.
