What I was missing at home was conversation with adults. I was a teacher – an elementary school teacher. A conversation with kids… let’s just say it’s not always terribly inspiring. I really needed to talk, I needed to discuss things with people who shared my interests. So, when I came here and saw the looms, I said “Ooh…” I’d taken courses ages ago. So, I started doing a little weaving again. I do a few things every year. Especially dish towels. I’ve made baby blankets, I’ve made… But that was just very occasionally. I knitted too, and I got involved with the sewing. I love chatting with the women, seeing what they’re working on, what kinds of things they like, what each of them is interested in. That’s what made me decide… to join the Cercle.
