This knife was made by the Benjamin Higgs Company, of Liverpool, England. James Treggett used it to take cuttings in the greenhouses.
I can remember when I was a little boy, and I would help my father’s workers plant the cuttings in the wet sand. My job was to make small holes in the sand with a stick so that they could plant the cuttings. – Brian Treggett
