Built in the heart of the Les Cèdres municipality and on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River, the steeple of the Saint-Joseph-de-Soulanges Catholic church stands tall. Built between 1879 and 1881 by architect Victor Bourgeau (1809-1888), it replaces the church built in 1780 which had become too cramped. The stones from the first church were used to build the wall around the cemetery behind the church.
