The Sainte-Jeanne-de-Chantal church was built between June 1773 and September 1774 par contractor Basile Proux on a lot donated in 1753 by seigneur Jean-Baptiste Leduc (son-in-law of seigneuresse Françoise Cuillerier). The building fulfilled all the desires of the 250 inhabitants who found the 1740 chapel cramped and too far away.
