Today, the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes sanctuary is a place of pilgrimage renown in Canada, Latin America and Europe. It welcomes thousands of pilgrims each summer who come gather in this enchanting location.

The sanctuary participates in local economic development, which is now defined as religious tourism.
