In 2009, the Société des musées du Québec and the Conseil du patrimoine religieux du Québec, financed by the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications, chose to invest in the documentation of religious furniture and objects preserved in situ by setting up a national inventory. Over the course of four years, many objects were identified, numbered, photographed and documented. The Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges participated actively to create this inventory by working with more than a dozen churches on its territory.
