The church and its interior decoration was done in 1881 par contractor and carpenter François Archambault (1839-1909) according to plans by architect Victor Bourgeau (1809-1888). The present steeple replaced the one that collapsed in 1950. The base is larger and the steeple shorter and less pointed as the previous one.
