Bugaboo Spire

According to the BC Geographical Names database, Bugaboo was a colloquial term to indicate ‘loneliness and/or hopelessness’. Located in the Purcell Mountains, which is a range of mountains located on the western side of the Rocky Mountain Trench. In 1916, Conrad Kain was the first mountaineer to reach the summit of the Bugaboo Spire.
