Diamondhead Lodge near Elfin Lakes

Joan Mathews, Emil and Ottar Brandvold built the Diamondhead Chalet in the 1940s. They owned and operated the Chalet until their retirement in the early 1970s. The BC Parks Service chose to build the Elfin Lakes Hut rather than maintain and renovate the Chalet.
