Seasonal use at the Himmelsbach Hut (audio)

Werner Himmelsbach recalled, “Before the hut was built, there was only two or three of us who had skied in there in the winter. We never thought anything like this would happen and soon as it was built it was filled up all the time. You know from other climbers. Well I didn’t hike up there in the winter too many times. Mostly on the May long weekend because I knew that I go in there and the cabin is full or something like it.”
