The Sphinx

A massive glacier covers the slope and obscures the peaks above. The creep of the glacier extends to the hanging alpine valley floor. Grey clouds swirl above the high peaks.

The Sphinx Peak located south east of Garibaldi Lake and its large glacier has two tongues leading down to Sphinx Bay. While the UBC-VOC popularized the area for spring skiing, it is also a popular area for summer climbers looking to access peaks further in Garibaldi Provincial Park.
