This photograph is of a watercolour over pencil painting of the Rice Lake bridge viewed from the south shore of the Lake, west of Harwood. The train can be seen approaching Tic Island from the Harwood shore. To the right of the island is the trestle bridge and to the left is the truss bridge, with the trestle once again to the extreme left.
Due to ice damage, the bridge was declared unsafe in 1861 and was abandoned.
The original painting is oval and measures 5 1/2″ by 8 1/8″
