This is the Order of the Royal Purple regalia jacket of Olive Wadelius, a member of the Royal Purple in The Pas No. 88. Jackets such as this one still make up part of the Royal Purple regalia today. Mrs. Wadelius joined the Royal Purple in 1947 and was a member until its dissolution between 2000 and 2010. She was the Honoured Royal Lady of the lodge in 1961-1962. She also held other positions such as Secretary and Past Honourable Royal Lady. Mrs. Wadelius’ parents were Albert J and Melina LaFontaine, early pioneers. Miss Olive LaFontaine married Erik Wadelius.
The purple regalia coat has white piping outlining its cuffs, pockets and edges. It has the Royal Purple crest sewn onto its left breast pocket.
