The Order of Royal Purple The Pas Lodge Pin

This is the Order of Royal Purple The Pas Lodge No 88 pin from Olive Wadelius. This pin would likely have been worn during official meeting business as part of formal regalia. As only the very top part of the pin needed to be customised, it is possible other Royal Purple groups, in fact, used a similar pin with only the top bar changed to reflect their own group. Olive Wadelius joined the Royal Purple in 1947 and was a member until its dissolution sometime in the 2000s. She was the Honoured Royal Lady of the lodge in 1961-1962. She also held other positions such as Secretary and Past Honourable Royal Lady.
The main part of the pin is a three-dimensional Royal Purple crest/logo with purple inlay. There is a locking pin on the back of the leaf. These chains hang from a pin that features two maple leaves and is inscribed “The Pas/Lodge No 88”.
