Breeching Horse Model

A model of a breeching horse on display at the Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum. Horses would have to use this position, which involved sitting back in their harnesses, to restrain heavy wagon-loads while going down steep hills. In Cole Harbour, this would have been of particular use on the incredibly steep Breakheart Hill.
