1944. As World War II raged on, the need for transportation was strongly felt. Construction of a new boat began under the direction of master shipwright Albert Audet. Abreast of the latest technological development, he drafted the blueprints for a larger schooner, a 200-ton gross tonnage ship over 33 metres (110 feet) in length. True to the style of his previous schooners, the new ship will feature a transom at its stern.
