Dr. James Naismith, native of Ramsay and a graduate of Almonte High School, who invented basketball at Springfield, Mass. A new hospital project in Almonte is under way as a memorial to this distinguished man and as a necessity to medical and surgical needs of this community. Tomorrow, an All Star Montreal team will play the Brooklyn Dodgers at Mont. St. Louis gym, with proceeds to go toward the local Hospital Fund.
