Horse drawn threshing machine
Photo from the collection of the Beiseker Station Museum
Harvesting a crop with a horse drawn threshing machine amidst a great cloud of dust. The grain is fed into the hopper which separates the kernels from the straw. The kernels pass over a screen, the chaff is blown away, and the kernels are dumped into a sack. The straw and chaff are blown into a straw stack to be collected and baled.
