Detroit Edison Electric Pacer, 1977

In spring 1977 Detroit Edison developed a one-off electric conversion of the popular AMC Pacer station wagon for use in its twice-daily internal mail routes. The company “wanted firsthand experience with an electric car, which could perhaps feature prominently in future transportation.”
