Frederick Barnard Fetherstonhaugh (1863–1945), in a photo from The Canadian Album circa 1891. A successful patent lawyer and keen proponent of modern technology, Fetherstonhaugh had interests outside developing electric cars, including attempts to standardize the patent system across the British Empire and an unsuccessful test, in 1909, of his own personal airship.
