Headline from The Globe, Dec. 7, 1896, discussing the public demonstration of the Fetherstonhaugh car. When the vehicle was driven inside the Dixon carriage works because of bad weather, it ran “with apparent ease.” Oddly enough, the vehicle is described as a tricycle; if true, the vehicle could be one of Still’s later prototypes instead of Fetherstonhaugh’s car.
